New website!

We’re really excited to finally be launching a website, and, wow! what a beautiful website it is! Huge thanks to Jem at Jaijiel Creative for building it for us and helping our vision become reality… and even better than we imagined. This is part of on ongoing project we are working on, using the Regional Food Fund grant that we received last year, to spread the word about what we are doing – helping to get more local food to more people and helping other communities to produce more food themselves.

Some of the other things we’ve done with this funding are:

  • create a logo to strengthen our identity and brand recognition (thanks Rosie, at Doodlesurfer – we love it so much);
  • equip a proper farmshop, including upright display freezer and beautiful bespoke shelving and baskets (thanks to Sean at The West Edge and Malcolm at Cat’s Back Baskets, respectively);
  • co-host our recent “Celebration of Local Food in the North West” (colloquially known as “The Food Festival”!) with The Elphin Tearooms, Highland Good Food Partnership and The Highlands and Islands Climate Hub; and
  • offer delivery runs all the way up to Durness and out to the end of Lochside and offered a pickup option in Lochinver.

We’ve delivered more food, to more people, and started a lot of conversations about local food. We’ve got a few things left to complete for this project (you’ll see them appear over the winter), but for now, are really happy to have a new space to connect with our customers, friends, colleagues,.. and anyone else with an interest in local food and what we are doing here.

With thanks to:
